Introducing a new bevel gear with a new tooth count compatible with the GRK5!

 

The new 14-tooth gear is perfect for today's drifting scene.

 

It offers both improved control at half throttle and increased speed thanks to increased secondary deceleration.

 

Compatible Vehicles

: GRK5

, GRK4 (*)

*Compatible when combined with the GRK5 Gear Adapter (R31S067).

Cannot be installed with the standard GRK4 Gear Adapter (R31S302).

 

Compatible Vehicles with Various Differentials:

1. For vehicles with a ball differential (R31G001),

Adjust by replacing the backlash adjustment shims.

 

2. For vehicles with a rigid axle set (for reduction gear) (R31S023) for the GRK4,

Adjust by adding four gear spacers (R31W243) to the ring gear attachment.

Final backlash adjustment is performed using the shims on both sides.

 

3...(R31W271) For gear differentials

We recommend using a 16T-18T ring gear (one where the backside of the ring gear is flat except for the bearing mounting area). (*)

Final backlash adjustment should be performed using shims on both sides.

 

*Depending on the gear case, a 10T-12T ring gear configuration has been confirmed to be usable, but is not recommended due to the inability to adjust backlash.

 

Other points to note: If

the mounting position of the universal shaft and joint cup is misaligned

, the universal shaft may not engage properly or may interfere with the bottom of the joint cup, hindering suspension movement.

In this case, you will need to change the universal shaft to one of the appropriate length

 

(R31S069). GRK5 Bevel Gear 14T

 

This is an optional bevel gear newly manufactured to adapt to the GRK5 gear adapter.

 

The number of teeth has been newly set to 14T to match the recent drifting scene.

 

You can expect both controllability at half throttle and increased vehicle speed due to increased secondary deceleration.

 

Applicable car models

*(R31S067) Compatible with the GRK5 gear adapter.

It cannot be attached to the GRK4 standard gear adapter (R31S302).
